Carol Levey grew up in Chicago, Illinois, always wanting to be a doctor and follow in her father’s footsteps. Her Dad told her “the golden age of medicine is over” so instead, she decided to strive for being the best at what came naturally: communicating.
After earning her B.A. in Marketing at the University of Arizona and an Executive MBA at Arizona State University, she moved to Los Angeles, where she held several positions in Marketing for companies such as The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau, Giorgio Beverly Hills, and led the Marketing and Operations for Maurice Lacroix Swiss Watches and Carl F. Bucherer Timepieces. In between corporate leadership roles, she worked as the Sr. VP of Marketing for the Arthritis Foundation, Southern California, and led Global Marketing and Communications for The ALS Association National Office.
Her best life choice, however, was marrying Bob Levey, whose dreams matched those of her own - community service, giving back, making a difference, and coveting the world of golf. After the deaths of her father, brother, and mother in a ten-year period, she took her mother’s advice and followed her heart - helping her husband with his business, raising two great kids and working with select clients on national and international marketing, media relations, and brand building.
Two Fun Facts: Carol initiated and realized the passage of a Congressional bill that waived the 24-month waiting period for ALS patients in the United States. She also managed to survive two major earthquakes: 1989 where she was in line for a beer at Candlestick Park about to watch the World Series and 1994’s Northridge earthquake, which led to a quick marriage engagement because her boyfriend Bob had no place to live!!!!
